The video linked below is a presentation by Mr. Ralph Martire who is the Executive Director for the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability. The presentation and video were made at Western Illinois University on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Mr. Martire explains the current financial crisis of Illinois from a historical format. I encourage you to watch the video as in my opinion his solution to the situation we find ourselves in makes a great deal of sense.

School Board Goals
Click to view the School Board Goals
The Board of Education has utilized the information from the November Community Involvement meeting to create three goals for the school district. The three main goals are colored in grey with the supporting ideas for extension listed below each of the three. The goals are written in such a manner to allow the Elementary, Junior High and High School to develop specific goals to enable the district to achieve these goals. The goals will be published and the results of the ensuing work will be shared with the community to demonstrate the work the schools are conducting to improve the learning opportunities for all students. The district is committed to providing a quality educational opportunity for all students so they may be college or career ready when they graduate from high school.
